Massanutten Hotel 5

Hotel is dated but spacious and location is about a 10 minute walk to the lifts. Roons are tired showing age with mold in bathroom and lots of gashes in walls, waterlogged baseboards, etc. Hot water was not available during peak hours. Cleaning staff do not refresh rooms during stay but did drop off fresh towels at the door which was highpy appreciated. They snuck in an extra $90 at checkin for resort fees for a 3 day stay which I thought was generous considering almost all the amenities were closed or nonfunctional (hot tubs, steam room, salt room all broke/closed).

I won a contest through social media and was treated well by the staff members, from serenity who first Initially called me and explained everything, To Amy from marketing who was super amazing. She really was the sweetest and I enjoyed my trip all the more because of her. Upon arrival to the resort I was greeted by everyone I walked past which was nice. Check was nice and easy and there was alot of amenities to do, however since the contest was to view the resort for a timeshare i wasn't able to fully enjoy the resort like I wanted to. I had a late checkout the next day but my timeshare meeting was first thing in the morning after a long drive so i wasn't the thrilled about that because I would have wanted to sleep in a little. Its alright. I mean for the budget we were on its great but cmon, a microwave in each room isn't much to ask for.

Yall shouldn’t call yourself a resort, this place is straight trash. Where do I start…… no microwave and we paid 200.00 for our room our fridge was kinda warm and had rust and mold in it. The room smelled like cigarettes and weed. The pillows on the bed were paper thin. The carpet felt gross to walk on. The walls are paper thin, our neighbors were up drinking, banging on the wall, and yelling and screaming with there kids at 1am and you could hear everything that was going on. It was absolutely terrible. I wouldn’t stay at the motel again, I quite frankly wouldn’t even call it a hotel more like a motel 6. No way should anyone be staying here for that price and on top of all that they just dismissed my active duty military service.

We stayed for a promotion stay. The hotels are bare bone and not the nicest though they are better than a motel/road side hotel. The patio isn't very nice and has some weak boards. There is recreational activities relatively close. Would I have wanted to pay for this hotel? Not really. The hallway had a missing fire extinguisher. The parking was pretty good. They had dining areas withing 10miles.
