Marvin Gardens Motel

I'm trying to be more objective without incorporating the horrendous trip we had getting here. We arrived around 7pm. We were not able to get into our room (NOT A DELUXE COTTAGE) until after 9pm because the code didn't work, no management is on the property, neither phone calls nor texts were answered for over an hour! We had left and called priceline... they seemed to reach management because we got a text to go to cabin 8. By this time, a day that I had thought could only get better had gotten worse. The room was clean, the bed was hard and it was a little chilly. 4- stars. The bathroom had what appeared to be leftover shampoo/conditioner from a previous guest and there were hairs... not ours. My main complaint was the window, without curtains, above the toilet that the neighboring hou

Smell of a basement swimming pool with heavy chemicals in the air immediately as you step in the hallway. I mean that in the worse way possible. The room appeared to be "put together", but I'd say the money i spent for the night would buy everything in the room twice over again (crap furniture and an outdated bed). I went to grab a cup from on the microwave and boy am i glad I looked inside..... there was a white, powder (somewhat like stomped out cocaine) stuck in the corners of it. ||||As for location... its a little far if you want to have quick access to pier side of oob. Not horrible to walk, but 2 trios might just do it for you... (20/25 minute walk). ||||Not the worse place, but not exactly cozy, or "warm and fuzzy". Would i stay here again... maybe for half the price..

Great little cottage setup. Everything you need. Wifi was pretty bad honestly and you should know some of the places are right on the main road. If you're noise sensitive could be an issue for you. Wasn't too bad though. Could use a queen size bed in my opinion. Was very clean and has everything you need at a fair price for old orchard beach prices. Had direct TV with lots of channels too and a deck to chill out on.

Staying here with my wife and baby was great. We brought a griddle and cooked food in the unit. There was enough space for all of us. The one downside is that it needs more light. There is a bay window but if you have the shades shut it’s very dark. But we loved our stay there. The pool was great and the place was a quick walk to the beach.

Would give no stars if I could. Horrible experience with these guys!! Getting in contact with a person to help us was hard they have no office. We went to check in the door was open, the sheets for the kids beds were missing, not to mention the mattress have no covers protectors they were dirty and gross and had black hairs all over them. we had no towels, the floors were dirty and my truck was bigger than the building. The other people checking also were saying how unhappy they were and the doors were open and I heard a lady say “did they even clean the room!?” So I’m not the only one upset. I watched them drive away to find another place to stay as well. We didn’t end up staying here we had to book another room somewhere else. So glad it didn’t stay here.
