Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa

Stayed at the Marriott Sanibel Harbor for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Overall a very good experience. We had a few issues with housekeeping and the room, but the staff and service made up for it. Overall our Suite was nice, but a damaged coffee table cut my knee and the sink in the bathroom sprayed water everywhere when used. We also had some fruit fly issues. The property is beautiful and the service is top notch. Manager Nick quickly resolved our housekeeping issue and offered a cabana on our anniversary day. Restaurant manager Michael was great as were the bell staff and pool staff. Pool area is wonderful and food was excellent. Definitely a great choice for staying close to Sanibel.

Positive: The hotel was beautiful. The ambience was tranquil and exactly what I was looking for. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The restaurant food and staff awesome. We couldn’t have had a better weekend. Negative: There was nothing that we did not like.

We had a great time. All of the waitstaff and bartenders in the restaurants were so awesome and really made our trip! I regret not getting the name of the waitress that worked at Tarpon house and Courtside. She was so fun and it was nice to see her multiple times through our trip. We got massages at the spa that were wonderful (Jin is incredible. I wish I didn’t live out of state because I want to see her regularly. It was the BEST massage I ever had.) We were told we were not able to walk to the beach but realized when we were leaving, we definitely could have, that might be a different situation if you have small children with you or cannot walk long distances. Just something to keep in mind!

I’m very torn on how to write this review because this property is beautiful and has so much potential. The staff is extremely friendly. However, the cleaning staff needs a complete overhaul or new management. Our room was not properly cleaned before our arrival and the common areas lack the attention to detail when it comes to cleaning. The pool is beautiful and heated perfectly for a January swim. The food in the restaurants is really sub par and not worth the high price. We are Marriott lifetime platinum elite and I think next time we will just Airbnb on the island. I hope this place improves so we can come back. Spa amenities are complimentary but the area feels strange - like you are in a garage of sorts. A few upgrades and this property could really be fantastic.

Stayed for two nights used pool (heated to 84 degrees)and bar / restaurant, they also have bar on pool deck with waiter / waitress service that also serve food from provided menu. There is also a regular upscale restaurant in lobby. Hotel is very clean luxurious with valet parking or free self park in covered garage with short walk to elevator. Front desk was extremely helpful . The property is located at the foot of Sanibel causeway . Room very clean and everything worked well. Bathrooms updated shower and vanitie hair dryer,iron and board,safe. Bed sheets were comfortable as well as the bed. All with a Awesome sunset and gulf view from balcony! Yes would definitely stay here again.
