Marriott Columbia

We had a lovely stay at the Marriott Columbia, South Carolina. The hotel is beautifully renovated and the staff was outstanding. I would like to make some special mentions of those who were incredibly helpful. During the day staff, Lorraine was very attentive and careful with our needs and requests. Second shift, Christian is a super star! During the night audit, we had absolutely wonderful experiences. Xavier is incredibly stable, knows exactly what he is doing, and how to get a thing done! He is very kind and really spends time working with the others on his staff, like Paul, who are newer and have a strong desire to do a great job, and just need to learn. I've stayed here for a conference for the past 3 years. It's always clean and well appointed. The food at the conference is some the best I've had at a hotel event... Compliments to the catering department!! Great location. Within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and downtown destinations.

I always have a great stay. I've been coming here for years. They have folks that have been working here for years and they are super committed to their customers. The restaurant staff were totally on top of everything and charming.

The hotel was easy to find, and I was impressed right away with the friendliness of the Valet, and his recommendation to try the shrimp and grits. I did, and they were amazing! I was also pleased that most of the sessions for the symposium I was attending were located in the hotel - very convenient! The desk staff was wonderful, and the room lovely and comfortable. I was also bummed that I would miss the Saturday market, but pleasantly surprised to find the Nest store within the hotel! The room was large, though it was only me, and the bathroom clean with great water pressure in the shower. I enjoyed the brand and scent of the soaps, and appreciate the variety of channel offerings on the t.v., though I did not watch much. It was quiet, and the temperature easily adjusted. I also r

Beautiful hotel with many amenities. Great location! Walking distance to fine dining. The valet service was great and timely. Very smooth and simple check in and check out process. The room was a little warm. Maintenance responded literally with in 2 minutes of our call and took care of the issue. It was unseasonably warm this weekend. I truly felt valued as a customer! We will be back!
