Mansfield Heritage Inn

We booked through Priceline and paid online, and the hotel staff refused to honor Priceline’s booking. They wanted us to pay another $65. We showed them where we paid and they still refused to give us our room. The hotel is very run down and appears to be a place where people live long term.

Stayed a while ago and got perioral dermatitis from using their washcloths on my face and now I’m stuck with it for life. Extremely dirty and the whole hotel was littered with half smoked cigarettes and the staff wasn’t kind at all. Don’t waste your money!

Positive: Convenience and price Negative: The bed was not clean. I have pictures of what was on the sheets and mattress. There was even a little dead bug. There were only 2 working lights out of 4. Bathroom water in tub was awful:( It was black, sink ran black some then cleared but I didn't drink

This is a very basic hotel. Only frill is free WiFi if you are lucky enough to get connected. I read the reviews of how clean the place was, but I was not impressed. Housekeeping could definitely do a better job. Dust and crumbs all along the front of the box under the bedskirt as well as a long dark hair on the edge of the bathtub when we arrived. But for the cheap price and we were only going to sleep there, it wasn't anything we couldn't over look. The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, but also very unprofessional. When we returned from our excursion in the area she was laid back in a recliner in the lobby in her PJ's watching TV. When I was a night time desk clerk, we were in no way, shape or form allowed to do anything like that during the night shift. So pretty unprofessional

I booked a one night stay (passing through) on Hotels.com. It was about 9pm when we pulled in. It is a very secluded property, not near much of anything and surrounded by trees (check google maps) and after seeing broken down cars, a small group of shady people standing around the dimly lit front corner of the property and a couple grilling food in the back of their truck in front of their exterior door....it just wasn't a very safe looking place even for just one nights rest. We were past the cancelation/refund deadline so we accepted flushing the money and discovered that by not checking in I couldn't leave a review on Hotels.com so I am doing one here. I did reach out to Hotels.com and report the issue and they were easy to contact and understanding of the situation.
