Red Roof Inn Mansfield

One of the CLEANEST Redroof inns in OH or the country for that matter. Linens and pillows are always comfortable and fresh. Easy location access of I-71. Alot of shopping & restaurants close.No extra deposit the last time I stayed. BUT IN THE PAST THERE HAS BEEN. The management seems to be doing a great job with this property. Is actually not nasty behind the beds. So they have a vacuum . The rooms are always climate controlled and welcoming. All rooms are accessed from the inside corridors. It's also a secure hotel with card entry doors. They have juice & coffee for free + vending machines in lobby. The room prices I consider fair ,$ 65 with tax per most 1 day stays. I was traveling back from Thanksgiving with my family in New York State and needed a cheap place to stay. I was also looking to build points with Red Roof Inn. I largely booked this one based on some fairly positive reviews and it was in a location that I was looking to stop for the night.||The staff I interacted with was friendly and my room was clean. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of outlets which, at many inexpensive hotels, I've often had to go hunting for. I also noticed there were no weird smells which was a plus.||So I thought I was going to be able to write an all-positive review until I heard some people arguing. When I booked this hotel, I wasn’t expecting much — I chose it mainly for the location and price. However, from the moment I checked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff greeted me with a smile and provided excellent service. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The shower was stocked with quality shampoo and body wash, and there were plenty of fresh towels. The bed was soft and cozy, with a variety of pillows to ensure I found one that suited me perfectly. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and will always choose this hotel whenever I’m in Mansfield. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Not the best first impression. Front desk employee said if you don't return your 1 key card to front desk after checking out, you're charged $15. You can't leave it in the room like every hotel in the world does. Then when we walked down the steps to 1st floor, you're hit with an awful kennel smell like wet dog. They're bags outside of doors that look like dirty towels from wiping up after a pet. I know owners can see this as they're cameras in the hallways. Go pick them up and not wait for housekeeping in the morning. Our room was ok. The floor was dirty so socks/slippers needed to walk around. The bed was fine. The hot water was nice in the shower. The light switch plate was taped up. They only cost about 40 cents to replace. This is when RR's start declining. The $15 you get from n
