Mammoth Mountain Inn

We stayed in a room with loft and it was very spacious. We didn’t expect a modern atmosphere at all since the entire building is scheduled to be torn down soon. However, I understand why the company has delayed the process, as the structure itself is quite sturdy despite its age. We used the spa, and the jet pressure was very strong, although one jet was not working. The kitchen had a large refrigerator and was fully equipped with everything we needed, from dishes to pans. The mattress was very comfortable—perhaps it has been updated. All towels and linens were very clean. Since we didn’t have high expectations, everything turned out to be very good for our trip. We had a great stay at this hotel. The property is comfortable, beautiful, and perfectly located—right in front of both the beginner and expert chairlifts, as well as the panoramic gondola, which made access to the mountain extremely convenient.||The only issue we experienced was with the reservation: our room was booked as a single bed for two people, even though we had requested two double beds for four guests. However, Brian and his manager Andi handled the situation exceptionally well. They quickly found a solution and upgraded us to a larger room with two beds that comfortably accommodated all four of us.||Thanks to their fast response and excellent customer service, the situation was resolved smoothly, and the rest of our stay was excellent. Mammoth Mountain Inn is way worth it if only for FREE parking alone especially if you ski or snowboard. You get to park at the very base of main lodge and can practically ski in and out. This alone is a blessing. They have the nicest beds and by the garage units, our ceiling was very high. Loved the three indoor jacuzzis and one outdoor cuzzi plus heated pool. The restaurant could use some renovation. I wish they told you there's FREE SHUTTLE to take and pick you up from the village. They made no mention of that upon check in.Also, unit 454 faces one of the exits to the garage/parking lot. People constantly go in and out... sleep was hard to come by. Just our luck :(

Had a great experience at Mammoth Mountain Inn, starting when we arrived much later than expected after 11pm. Caroline, at the front desk, welcomed us with such a cheery disposition that it made us completely forget the frustrating traffic on the way up.. We went from being miserable in a car for 7 hours to feeling like we just met up with an old friend - Thankyou Caroline! The room was spacious, the mattress was comfortable, and the gondola to the top is just steps away. What a great stay from the moment we checked in until we had to leave!

Location is great. The room I had had a space heater, the pillows were yellowed under the pillow case. The toilet handle is busted. Very small for the price you paid. The lodge definitely needs some updates. The restaurant was mediocre, for $20 I had a very basic grilled cheese, the airline chicken I had tonight had instant mashed potatoes for $38. A lot of people are happy here, but I won’t be back. I also noticed that all of the positive reviews get a response while the negative reviews do not.
