MainStay Suites St. Louis - Galleria

a few things not right. The upstairs shower did not turn on which was inconvenient. No remote for the livingroom tv. I called the front desk about both issues and no answer that night or the next morning. There was an issue with loud music and voices and flashlights in the parking lot. It went on 2 hours. 1:30 am til 3:30 am. I called the front desk. She said she would go down to see. It stopped 15 mins then started up again. Coffee wasn't good. Was a very clean room !!! Good help to get our luggage up the stairs but called the next morning and nobody came to help. The house cleaning gal was so kind and helped us. I'm grateful and she was so sweet. I wasn't aware the 2 bedrooms were way upstairs and Alot of stairs !!! Then once inside more stairs to the 2nd bed/bath.

Positive: Met basic needs. Like a studio apartment with small kitchen, r refrigerator and cups, dishes. Bed was comfortable, easy check in and out. No other service available at all. Negative: The grout in the shower was yellow and dirty and needed replacing, but overall okay.

I loved the room it was amazing. Kinda like a little apartment. The only issue I had was other guests outside on and off all night being hella loud. Cops came and nothing changed I guess guests are friends the owner... Who knows I'll definitely stay there every chance I get. I mean St Louis right?

When checking in a deposit was required which was a red flag, I was okay with it until I didn't receive my deposit back. The front desk said 3-5 days. I waited over a week and called corporate. They initially said it could take up to 15 days. That is insane, it definitely didn't take 15 days to charge my card, but okay. I was not satisfied, I took it a step further and report them to the BBB and I contacted my card company which will deal with them. Worse experience ever at a hotel. I wouldn't recommend this place to no one.

It could have been very nice but the room wasn't clean. The tissue box cover sitting on bathroom vanity was very dusty, hadn't been wiped in long time, had two pieces of toenail clippings on top of it and a few more toenail clippings on bathroom vanity. The shower had a lot of black mold around the bottom, I took pictures of that, very easy to see, house keeping should have seen it, plus that's very dangerous. The closet had not been vacuumed in a long time. I arrived about 930p and was mentally and physically exhausted, my nephew is at St Louis Children's Hospital waiting for a heart transplant and I needed a place to rest for the night. I would have called the front desk but hotel was full and I didn't have the energy to find another hotel.
