Main Street Motel

All accommodations in Bar Harbor are stupidly overpriced for what you get--that is not untrue of Main Street Motel, but by Bar Harbor standards, it's definitely one of the better values and I would absolutely stay again. It's no-frills, but the room was clean, comfortable, functional, and recently renovated. Location was perfect, parking was easy, and the front desk staff was very pleasant. Coffee, water, and snacks in the lobby were great, too. Bathroom could really use a shelf over the toilet for toiletries as the sink counter is quite small. Also, the refrigerator froze our carrots and lunchmeat into a solid block of ice, but the rest of our food/drinks survived, and it was still better than having no fridge. All in all, my favorite of the three places I've stayed in BH.

My wife and I had the pleasure of recently staying at the Main Street Motel in Bar Harbor during our vacation. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish.|We stayed in a double queen room, which was spotless, comfortable, and had all the conveniences we could have hoped for. One of our favorite parts was the small patio area out front with a few chairs overlooking Main Street. It gave the motel such a warm, community feel that we’ll always remember. Every evening, we sat out there with a glass of wine, met some great people, (hello Bill and Sheree!), who provided us with lots of laughs, wonderful conversations and a great Italian Red Bill was kind enough to share on multiple evenings.|Another highlight was the 24-hour office, always stocked with awesome extras. Overall, nice hotel. I have no basis to compare to other hotels in Bar Harbor since only stayed here, but I thought the rooms would be a little nicer than they were. Perhaps we got a room that hadn't been renovated yet. Overall, it was fine, but I expected a little nicer property for the cost. The staff in the office were very friendly.

Had an excellent stay at Main Street Motel, staff was so nice! Great location on the main restaurant/ shopping street in Bar Harbor, also short drive to popular hiking trails in Acadia national park. Check in office offered snacks, coffee/ hot chocolate, also had a water filling station. Couldn’t have been happier with my stay at the Main Street Motel!

Wowza! What a great little gem! The location of this motel was perfect and within walking distance of several shops and restaurants along Main Street as well as close proximity to Acadia National Park Hulls Cove Visitor Center. Free, on site parking was a plus, and we never had trouble finding a spot. The room was spotlessly clean and king size bed slept comfortably. Bedside USB plugs, a microwave and mini-fridge in the room were a plus as well. The motel itself was very quiet and made for a great nights sleep before hitting the park each morning. The lobby was warm and welcoming with to-go snacks, bottled water and fresh coffee every morning! Bridget, the inn keeper, has thought of everything to make you feel at home! Will definitely stay here again!
