Love Hotels Advance Extended Stay at Lake Superior MI

I booked 3 rooms at Love Hotels Timberline at Lake Superior on July 20, 2025 through Priceline.com. When we arrived at the hotel, it was permanently closed. The hotel will NOT issue a refund for the 3 rooms for 5 days - a total of $1638.90 and says I was no-show. They act confused and tell me to wait, they are researching. I have called Priceline several times only to be told they are researching this. It has been nearly a month now. No refund so far. Paypal dispute yielded nothing, as the hotel and Priceline lied and said I didn't show up. We showed up! Priceline failed to provide the motel and they stole my money. They still have this hotel available for booking. DO NOT STAY at Love hotels. They lie and cheat.

I think having "motel" in the name doesn't fit the description of this property... I originally was planning on staying for 2 weeks, but decided one week would be enough of an adventure! This is more of an extended stay with people living on property - I could see the space I was given being much better if I lived in it for months at a time and able to decorate. For a week long stay/motel, I'd suggest elsewhere. The room number 5 itself was very dirty and smelled of cigarettes. No thorough cleaning was done; I could only hope the bedding was at least clean. No TV mounted and no reasonable place to set it to view - not plugged in or connected to any cable - I didn't bother with this. I reserved a room for someone. They said the hotel was cozy, clean, and warm even though the late-season snow was still falling. The staff was very welcoming and even offered advice on how to find food in the area and navigate the roads. I will keep you guys in mind the next time.

Good spot for a comfortable stay in ironwood. The rooms are good for stay, and the prices are reasonable for the area. Staff were helpful and quick at the front desk. Overall it was a good experience.

Beautiful area, management is helpful, rooms have a cozy cabin atmosphere, located centrally to all needed services. Site manager makes it his business to try to maintain a safe and relaxing environment.
