We’ve stayed here a few times before and after going to Big Bend. Very nice restrooms and showers. The laundry is nice, but there is no change machine and the office closes at 4. So if you pull in for an overnight before BB to shower and do laundry, you will be out of luck if you do t have quarters. And I was told by other campers that there’s really no friendly place in town that will give you quarters. They could stand to put down more gravel. We were there after a rain and we were camping in the mud. We also topped up our propane. The gentleman who filled it was very nice, but he either wasn’t paying attention, or didn’t know what he was doing. I was allowed to stay in the van which is contrary to safety standards, then he proceeded to fill the tank… full. Driving down the road, we co
Very well-maintained RV park in Alpine, TX. We were welcomed with a smile and was escorted to our site. The sites are spaced apart, so you do not feel like you are too close to your neighbor. The showers were clean with endless hot water for my shower!! Large laundry room with 6 washers and 6 dryers at $2.00 each. Very nice dog park. Met many folks who are repeat customers from around Texas. We will definitely stay again when in the area. Easy in and easy out. Highly recommended.
Nice, quiet RV park offering level sites and quality amenities. Lots of shade, too. Convenient to downtown without being too close. Be sure to visit Baker’s Dozen donut shop about 1.5 miles away; best croissant donuts anywhere and just a quick run down street from Lost Alaskan!
No sense in repeating all the positive comments others have made. We came here for an overnight stay and ended up staying an additional night. We used this as a home base for other visits. Staff and facilities are excellent. This will be a highly recommended camp ground for our friends. You’ll love it!
Mixed feelings! WATCH OUT… Very nice staff, huge pull thru sites, clean bathrooms/showers, awesome dog park…. BUT- they say they give a First Responder discount and this isn’t true. There is no choice to apply that type of discount online (there is a spot for a discounts for veterans and Good Sam members). If you ask for the discount when you arrive (as the website instructs) you will be denied. Too bad for us first responders.
