Loon's Nest Resort

We had been going here for over 8 years and loved it. It is beautiful, clean, relaxing. The old owners from when we started coming were wonderful. The newest owners are ok. We stopped going because there was an issue with the boat motor on the pontoon we always rented and they blamed us instead of themselves and poor maintenance for the issue so insurance would cover it. In doing that, they refused to allow us to rent the pontoon anymore per insurance. They also, the last couple years, told us we didn't sweep and vacuum the floors good enough when we checked out. That is rediculous because, short of shampooing the carpet and scrubbing the floors, they were clean. So, we have started going elsewhere the last years now.

Spent a week with extended family in one of the cabins at this resort. Kim and Bill were excellent hosts of the family run resort. They definitely keep the atmosphere family oriented from morning crafts for the kids to a resort wide bonfire and s'mores on the beach. Kids loved swimming at the beach each day and also using the kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe. We also rented a pontoon boat for the week to go fishing and enjoy the lake. Fishing was excellent at Fish Hook lake. Everyone caught plenty of fish, which we enjoyed nearly everyday for either lunch or dinner. There was even plenty to freeze and be taken home by family members. The kids are already talking about the next time we go.

Enjoyed our 3rd summer here, and we'll for sure be back! Great place for a family big or small. There's plenty to do for the kids from a nice swimming area with water toys, sand, a playground, or ice cream from the office lodge. Overall buildings are on the older side but very well kept up and look and feel great. The only downside is no AC, but cool lake breezes at night really cool it off quick for sleeping.

This was a well needed vacation the cabin had everything we needed the fishing was more than you could ask for the beach and kayaking was a hit with the wife the owners Grant and Amber are amazing people we will be back

Wow! What an amazing vacation! Absolutely beautiful and relaxing resort great for kids and adults alike. Great fishing and much more. Host Grant and Amber are very accommodating and friendly! This was our first trip definitely will not be our last!
