Customer Reviews
We stayed at the hotel from Friday to Sunday with our two kids and overall had a very nice experience. The hotel is beautiful and impressive, with a lovely lobby, three pools, and a jacuzzi. Our children especially enjoyed the pools and had a great time during our stay. The service was very friendly, everyone was kind, welcoming, and eager to help. When we first entered our room there was a very strong unpleasant smell. The staff immediately changed our room, which we really appreciated. However, the second room also had a similar smell. We later understood that the hotel allows pets, and it seems that the smell from animals can remain in the rooms. It might be a good idea in the future to designate certain rooms for guests with pets and keep other rooms pet-free, because the smell can be
Positive: While the room was nice and for the most part clean, there was a bunch of cobwebs on the window when we went to open it so that was unexpected. The bed was very comfortable. Negative: Really disappointed with the breakfast when we went down to have breakfast ordered some eggs over medium and eggs Benedict and they were not fully cooked. It was white egg yolk running on my wife’s salmon as well as all over my plate, bacon and potatoes.
The location is a 15-minute free shuttle ride from the resort to Coronado Village. My wife, daughter and I stayed 3 nights and planned to explore San Diego but ended up never leaving Coronado and spent a lot more time at the resort than I planned to. You have pretty much a huge private beach, three beautiful pools and two hot tubs. The Crown Landing has great food and is reasonably priced. The site is beautifully designed and kept. Room rate was quite reasonable.
We booked a suite expecting comfort and convenience, but the experience was awful. The pull-out couch was rusty and completely unusable, which was shocking for a room advertised as family-friendly. The mini fridge didn’t work at all, making it impossible to keep our young child’s milk cold—an absolute necessity for us.|To make matters worse, the sink broke during our stay, adding to the frustration. For the price we paid, this level of maintenance and service is unacceptable. I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you expect basic functionality and cleanliness.
From Cindy at guest relations counter to Keira (sp?) the server at the lounge restaurant EVERYTHING was perfect! It was our first time staying at a resort and it could NOT have been a better experience. Amazingly clean resort. ALL of the staff is SUPER friendly and helpful. Can't wait to visit you again!
