Hotel del Coronado

Positive: Location-Restaurants on premises and nearby offered excellent dining options. Staff was great in all aspects. The grounds were kept in great condition, and the room was spotless. We relaxed by our fire pit hearing the waves crash at the beach. Very nice. Negative: Ice machine across from our room 6104 was not working- it was powered on but no ice for 2 days. no time to report it. I did not like having to text my requests or assistance, Id prefer someone answer the phone. Tried calling but got message machine with

Lovely hotel and location. After spending 4 days at this hotel it is truly something special. The grounds are beautiful, so many restaurants, shops, and snack locations right on the property. The taco hut and beachside bar was our favourite. We loved the coffee and pastries at the quick serve every morning. The beach is lovely. You can walk forever down the beach. The hotel is located between two army bases which you can walk to each way. Steps outside of the hotel is the strip of Coronado. So many restaurants and shops to walk to. Rooms. This is tricky as there are so many different room types to pick from. Some rooms have views looking at the other buildings. We had an absolute magical time for my birthday a the Hotel Del Coronado! The views are spectacular, gorgeous decor and really awesome service. Misa the concierge is the absolute it e BEST! She is the gem of this hotel. She was so attentive and friendly and made the trip even better. Thank you, Misa!! We hope to come back every year. I would live here if I could haha

I was in Oceanside for the week (in December), but flew into SAN, and decided to splurge on the Del for my last night in the area. Valet was $79 and room was about $450 after all taxes/fees. I enjoyed all the holiday decorations, it was fun and festive. The location is pretty incredible (given the time of year, didn't get to enjoy all that much). The wood structure/architecture and history was impressive. On the other hand, aspects of it also felt like a Vegas resort, which sort of clashed with the overall vibe. My room experience was subpar for such an expensive stay. My room (34013) was above some ballroom, and when I returned from dinner at 7 pm, had to listen to blasting club music/deep bass until 10 pm. A truly special place. We love The Hotel del Coronado—perfect for families or a romantic couples’ getaway. They host fantastic private and corporate events, and the dining options are great, both on property and within easy walking distance. The on-site shopping is excellent, and the spa and fitness center are wonderful additions. The pools are large with plenty of seating, and the beach is one of the most family-friendly in Southern California. Not to mention the breathtaking sunsets. When the weather is too cool for the beach, the seasonal ice-skating rink is such a fun touch. The shoreline walks are beautiful, with sweeping views all the way to Mexico, and I highly recommend the guided walking tour offered through the fitness center.
