Glorietta Bay Inn

I took the Goddess here for a long weekend. The main building is a beautiful old structure, with a few smaller buildings around the main which house many of the guest rooms. Great location in Coronado. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We would both happily stay here again, but I think I would spring for one of the upgraded rooms. Nothing wrong with the room we had, but I think the upgrade would have added to our experience. If you want a relaxing time in Coronado, I'd highly recommend the Glorietta Bay Inn!

This hotel is glorious hence the name Glorietta. The rooms are clean and spacious and the giant clear windows invite the sunset in to gently wake you from your sleep on the addicting beds. The front desk is kind and helpful and when I had an injury they gifted me a bandaid and I almost wept from relief. The quiet hours are respected by the guests and enforced by the staff. I hope to return ti San Diego not just for the sun and the beach and the lovely food but for the well priced hotel named Glorietta.

Positive: The location was excellent, walking distance to everything. Breakfast every morning was great and filled with lots of options to choose from. Check in/check out was super easy. Staff were very friendly. Negative: The room seemed a little dusty, we kept the patio door opened quite a bit to allow fresh air in. The TV remote was ancient and hardly worked.

This is a great location. The hotel is charming, our room was spacious and breakfast was very good too. All the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint would be how loud our neighbor played his TV. 2 AM it was still loud. Maybe the walls are thin , not sure but it did disturb our sleep 💤

I planned on staying at this hotel for four nights back early this month in February 2026, but I ended up shortening my stay. The location is excellent, in a fantastic area of San Diego/ Coronado. From the outside, the property looks charming and inviting. The front desk staff were very kind and accommodating, which I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, the rooms need significant updates. The first room I was given on the ground floor was very outdated. The carpet looked dirty, there was a noticeable smell, and the overall feel of the room was extremely old. The layout had two separate sections and honestly felt eerie, which made me uncomfortable enough to immediately start looking into booking another hotel.
