Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa

We had to book last minute and they were able to immediately accommodate us. The room was much larger than anticipated and very clean. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful with our questions, they explained all of the amenities so we understood what was included. The parking garage was a great amenity that helped us avoid getting soaked on the rainy days. We had a standard room but we could still see the bay from our balcony. The onsite food options were also well above our expectations for a resort/hotel. We'll definitely stay again!

Positive: Great location. Negative: I was expecting a lot more for the star level and resort fees. The reviews were great, so we decided on this hotel for our 15th year anniversary but it disappointed a lot. It's just like an upgraded Motel 6.

The hotel sits in one of the most beautiful spots in San Diego, with views over the bay and the downtown skyline that never get old. The food was a highlight, thanks to a new chef who is doing an excellent job. ALBACA is worth the drive even if you are not staying at the hotel, which really sets it apart from most hotel restaurants. The staff were friendly and attentive, and our dinner server has worked here for 33 years, which says a lot. We have been coming here for over 25 years, and every visit reminds me why I love coming back.
