Lodge & Ranch At Chama

We've been here many times to fish and hunt. Chef Kelmin, guides Matt and Dave are brilliant....the rest of the staff? AMAZING too.

One of the best summer vacation spots my wife and I have ever been. Fly fishing for trout was spectacular in the high mountain lakes and streams. Throughout our stay, we were able to land multiple trout greater than 20 inches along with wild Brookies, Browns, and Rainbows. After a long day of fishing, we were welcomed back with a warm and friendly lodge staff that catered to our every need. Including, a top-notch 5 course meal each evening. This lodge is first class, five star, great meals, you would not believe it is a hunting and fishing lodge. Bring your wife, there's a spa, workout room, masseuse, great place to see nature (black bear, deer, and turkeys visible from the porch. The ONLY complaint I have is the ranch roads; if they would get them halfway fixed up, of course there's probably 30 miles of them on the 36,000 acres, the ventures out to hunt and fish would be a lot less painful for folks with bad back.

Beautiful land. Absolutely phenomenal service and food. The rooms were great. The bed was harder than I am used to, but that is a matter of taste. Everything else about the room was immaculate.
