Corkins Lodge

Beautiful rustic cabins with high-end appliances and bedding, it's always very clean and well maintained, fully stocked kitchen utensils/bowls/plates/etc, everything you could need to cook (bring your own food, we made delicious meals every day, closest market is about 30 minutes away). The atmosphere is amazing to relax in and unwind, or go on walks and hikes. They stock plenty of firewood and kindling that starts a fire in the wood stove very easily (and yes they have traditional furnace heat, you don't have to rely on the wood stove for heat, it's just nice ambiance). The views of the Brazos are amazing. It feels very private and like you "got away."

What can one say when their expectations are exceeded! There is a peaceful calming feeling about these cabins! The grounds are so very well maintained and the crew are just really good and attentive people! The Loghouse construction is marvelous it is truly what one would expect from it's name! The cabins are really well appointed and furnished! The kitchen setup is well thought out by someone who understands what to expect in a kitchen! The range and stove definitely made us want one for our home! The bedding and towels were excellent and plentiful! If you hope to find a place to recharge or just to leave this modern hectic world behind or just to enjoy the company of loved one this is place!

Lovely experience- quiet, calming and chill. Nice size cabin- very comfortable with great views. Bring all your food with you along with the aluminum foil and baggies if needed. We saw lots of deer on the property and lots of turkey. The river that we walked down to was quite narrow and not adequate for swimming. The property was lovely and relaxing, and we had the pool to ourselves. The best photo I took we’re at 6:30 at night where you can see the reflection in the small fishing pond.

A true Adirondack lodge - but in the Rockies. We stayed 2 night in the beautifully maintained Ponderosa. The cabin was everything I ever wanted for a quiet, classy getaway.

Fantastic place! Clean cabin. Well stocked. Comfortable. The most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. Quiet and peaceful. The manager was very nice as well.
