LIC Manhattan View Hotel

the workers are so nice ! me and my friend stayed here for only a day and were definitely coming back. the owner and front desk men were talking to us and giving us recommendations to do that could be fun for under 21. this hotel is also 18+ which is nice and hard to find in nyc

Madison was an absolute GEM at the front desk! She took our early check-in request and got us into our room a bit after 1pm (vs the 3pm normal check in time) — ON NEW YEARS EVE! She made sure to let us know when we arrived at 10am that we could store our bag in the office, head downtown to do the tourist things, and told us to call to check on the early check in a bit later. She made the stay stress-free and seamless. The room we booked had a balcony, which faced out over to Manhattan. From that balcony, we were able to see the fireworks at midnight all over the city! The room was big enough, and clean, but it was VERY warm. Granted, we were on the 14th floor, and heat rises. We eventually ended up resorting to sleeping with the balcony door open. Good location! Near subway station making it easy to ride into manhattan

The hotel is located in a great area of LIC and only two blocks away from the N & W subway stop at Dutch Kills /39th Ave. The hotel was clean and very quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept very well. The views of LIC were amazing. Overall, I had a great stay and will be back.

Climate control here is an absolute mess. Normally I’d wait before reviewing but this is simply ridiculous. We’ve been setting our room thermostat to the recommended 70 and our first room assignment kept climbing up to 92 degrees at 4 AM. This woke us up and I called reception and they said they would get to it in the morning. Absolutely insane - how are we expected to sleep in that when we’re paying for comfortable accommodations? After having to call back, they got us in another room where the temp is climbing again up to 85. Simply infuriating.
