Lakehurst Residential Hotel

I’m a Japanese guest who stayed there for nearly a year in 2001. If I remember correctly, the monthly rate back then was around $600. The owner, Tomoko, was incredibly kind, and the Filipino and Hispanic staff were all so friendly—it was truly a wonderful stay. More than 20 years have passed since then, but I still have such fond memories. This is just my impression from two decades ago, so it may not be very helpful now, but I wanted to express my gratitude.

I'm delivery and how disgusting to go to leave an order at this place stinks it smells rotten and meowing all the floors and there is no elevator in operation and the one at the entrance never says hello or is pending at least to make a flavoring for this rotten building.

You don't even need to stay there to see and hear from the OUTSIDE that it is a dump. So many busted windows I thought it was already getting demo'd until I heard someone loudly ranting obscenities from one of the rooms. It still could be an abandoned building turned flop/crack house for all I know. Sad really.

This is a good temporary/permanent residential Care hotel then any other type of hotel. Tomoko is wonderful but I don't know why they shut down the elevator late night. Most of the residents at the Lakehurst Hall have caseworkers and are living on SSI/SSA. If you're the type of person who likes to provide compassion and the Lord's love this could be a starting point.

Tomoko the owner is Great & Cares about her tenants Safety & individual Circumstances.She's a Special Lady. I had the opportunity to work with her for 2wks.during Covid. It's not an easy job & takes a lot of Patience. Thanks for doing your Best & also helping my cousin. Sincerely Sara Smothers.💜
