La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tulsa Broken Arrow

The location was fine, but that’s about the only thing that was positive about this hotel. Unfortunately for us, we came to visit when there was some type of tournament going on. Maybe it’s because there were no rooms left, but somehow we were stuck at the end of the hall on the same floor with all of the players. As soon as we got off of the elevator, we were greeted with yelling, slamming doors, gusts of a skunky smell, and a sitting smell of a boys locker room that seemed to just hang in the hallways. The yelling and banging continued all night long. Luckily my 2 and 4 year old were already asleep when we got in, but my husband and I had to put in our AirPods to get any sense of quiet. The staff was very helpful and the room very nice. The view was pleasant. The room very clean and well stocked. Location from the airport was great. Noise level was wonderful. Location was right next to our destination and restaurants were close. Landscaping was beautiful.

To me, this is an "okay" hotel in a good location. Few issues during our stay. First, I booked online, when I came in to check-in they didn't have my room type available anymore so they would have to upgrade me to a deluxe suit that I had to pay additionally for or just not get a room even though I had made a reservation. He said they didn't have anything but the suits avaliable. The gentleman checking me in was polite but he couldn't answer questions regarding this issue nor could provide a business card or info like email or whatever for the hotel manager. Secondly, the deluxe suit was very disappointing and not the cleanest, spills down the side of the nightstand, lampshades had splatter and dust, under the bathroom vanity was dirty. I booked a last minute stay here on Christmas Eve while visiting family in the area since we found out last minute that they couldn't host us anymore. I had my dog with me and the big selling point for me was that they allowed pets (for a fee of $25). The hotel was in pretty good shape and the room was very big for the price. I paid about $125 after the pet fee for a big room with a King size bed. They have a small grass area out from the elevators for dogs to use the restroom, but there are plenty of places nearby to walk the dogs on the sidewalk. The hotel is also very conveniently located as well.

Positive: The GM canceled my room. Had to take a king with pullout and use private pay. Negative: lack of commination
