La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham St. Louis Westport

I was very disappointed in my recent stay here. I am not high maintenance and frequently stay at economy hotels, but this was not a good experience. The following are my notes from the stay: The whole hallway reeked of pot the entire stay; The scent from the cleaning products or air freshener made me and my children stuffy all weekend; There was vomit/soda/something splattered all over the curtain; Visible dirt/grime on all surfaces/furniture/carpet; Light fixtures were crooked and light bulbs were missing; Refrigerator froze all of the food we brought because of my daughter's dietary restrictions and most of it was inedible; Ice machine was broken; Tub wasn’t draining well during shower; Tub faucet dripped all night and kept waking me up; Shower was freezing cold until we figured out t

Stayed for one night traveling from Texas back to Michigan. We had 2 dogs traveling with us, so we requested a pet-friendly room. The room was nice and the linens were clean, but there was a large stain on one of the lamp shades, some rust around the fixture on the wall that held the tissues, and the water pressure in the shower was low and the water was not real hot. Breakfast, the next morning, left a lot to be desired. We opted to grab something down the road.

Positive: Close to everything we were there for. Negative: Tv did not work for the entire time on some channels. Back door security lock was busted and open 24/7 and I believe they have a car repair shop in the parking lot.

I loved my stay here in late Oct 2025 so much I booked my next business trip at the same hotel. I got there 1 hour early and they still allowed me to check in which was nice because I really needed a nap from waking up real early and then flying to STL. They always had fresh coffee available & my room was great and very close to my business event. The bed was very comfortable which I loved.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed. Great location and price. Breakfast about the same as any other hotel breakfast, but coffee was very good. Friendly and accommodating staff. Older hotel that has been renovated so some old things remain, but for the price thoroughly adequate. Had trouble with keeping our key cards activated so had to get new ones twice. Would definitely stay there again.
