La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Richmond - Kings Dominion

Hotel has roaches and is disgusting. Literally take your money elsewhere. I’ve been fighting for a month to get my refund back for nights, I didn’t even stayand I still haven’t gotten it back yet and the manager is blocking my calls… Also called IHG Would highly not recommend this hotel or IHG at all because they’re not affiliated with this hotel Or the one in Fredericksburg Candlewood suites, which is not shocking considering how dirty they are and how highly IHG properties owned by IHG are cleaned! RUN AWAY!!!!!!!

First and foremost I need to mention, if you're looking for a place to sleep, avoid this entire area of hotels. The first stop I made was at the Country In & Suites. Avoid that hotel at all cost. They asked me for $35 extra for an early check in. I explained that I didn't have a reservation but that didn't matter. The owner wanted to make money. If you must and have no choice, go to the next hotel over which was the La Quinta. The lady at the desk was so sweet. She gave me a room immediately and the rate was under $80. I had to wait for my room to be cleaned. That didn't pose a problem cause I enjoyed a hot cup of coffee with my fiance. I did notice that they were undergoing construction. Disappointing. Fresh paint and new curtains but poorly installed. No fridge or microwave in room (as website promised) but friendly staff promptly carried in units from another room upon request. Faucet is too short. Bathroom faucet sprays onto counter. No backup toiletries available at desk. Ok stopover location near route 95.

Our favorite place to stay with our dog. This business and its staff are very dog friendly. Rooms are clean, spacious, and well apointed.

Service for breakfast was awesome with Ms D...she took care of the people's needs but the weekend lady was rude and not nice. They never had extra towels when needed and there was small pieces of trash in the room. They never did housekeeping after 3rd day plus I didn't know I had to request it.
