La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Prattville

Traveling with dog so needed a pet friendly room. Room clean and comfortable; everything working. Great water pressure in shower. Functionally room was fine but all furniture had sustained wear or damage from prior pets. Shame on those pet owners.||Would have liked a lid on toilet bowl to prevent dog from drinking out of it. Humidifier would have been nice but not essential. Husband and Standard Poodle both pleased. I became pleased after very negative impressions on entering the room (husband talked me out of requesting a different one).||Except for the appearance of the room furniture which was off putting to me, all other areas of hotel were nice and exhibited a sense of pride. ||Continental breakfast offered a wide array of food, many healthy ones, and beverages. Husband again

2 out of 3 mornings the breakfast was either cold, or food was empty. Coffee jugs were either empty or ice cold. Hallways are very loud. We could hear conversations in the hallway early in the morning. No hot water on our final night. Front desk staff didn’t answer the phone when I called to inquire. When I went to the front desk, the gentleman there was looking at his cell phone.,I guess he was too busy to answer the phone. After he looked up and acknowledged me, he had no information to assist. Had to join Wyndham Rewards for internet, otherwise, it’s not free. I will NEVER stay there again not will I ever recommend it. It was WAY overpriced for what it is.

Hotel was very clean. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The only bad thing I can say is that the room that we stayed in had a refrigerator in it that did not work, and since the hotel was full I could not be put in a different room so the front desk offered to bring me a bucket with some ice to cool down my drinks. Also there was no extra fee for my dog being with me so that was a bonus. Lots of choices for food around this location. Breakfast options were good. Disappointed there was no scrambled eggs though.

The hotel is top notch. Clean, fresh, updated, parking lot is well lit, breakfast is great rooms are updated, big tvs etc.. The only thing wich means the most is the beds, they are horrible hard and you can feel every single spring its baffling the entire hotel is winning except the beds mattresses. It is bad if you are in town working and want to relax and recuperate for the next day. The bed will make you wake up more sore than a good hard days work. We stayed for 5 nights / 6 days. Very hard to sleep a full night. Changed king rooms twice. Booked through priceline. Every other aspect is 100% except the beds.

The hotel is conveniently located off the highway and has a number of restaurants nearby. The outside and grounds seem well kept and inviting. The staff were distant and unfriendly. The smell of the hotel has a disinfectant/covering something up smell. Lighting at night felt dingy. The room smell was worse than the lobby and hallways. The TV did not work in the room - would have changed rooms but we were tired from travel. I can't tell if it was clean because of the odor - like they're covering something up? Not sure if I would stay here again.
