La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Philadelphia Airport

I called ahead as I was traveling from a long trip. Asked if a possibility of early check-in and the gentleman said he could accommodate. Upon arrival I was greeted by Kevion, who I dont believe was the same man I spoke to but he was extremely kind and helpful. I believe they are doing some renovation so the first room (which was a suite) I asked to switch from since it was too high up for me and he happily did it and I actually was impressed with the regular king room. House keepers were helpful with me and my luggage as they didn't have any carts, so we improvised. My stay was nice, breakfast was great (minus juice machine being down the days I was there) but full meal and 24/7 coffee is available. During check out Chloe was amazing and friendly. We came for the Eagles pre-season game against the Browns. I will get to the review. Do Not Stay! PLEASE READ... take this to be factual. Check the Mattresses! I mean remove the blanket & sheets before you put your head & body in the beds there. I travel with my own bedding for this reason. I was changing the sheets when we noticed large brown stains on the sides of the mattress and base area to the floor. It wasn't just in one area but all along foot and sides on either side of the bed. We complained, they sent housekeeping and housekeeping could not do anything about the mattress. We were moved to another room. We dismantled the sheets & blankets to find the same thing but even worse. The stains were deep brown like it had been that way for a while. One word -- yikes! The airline put us in this dump after our flight was canceled. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at in my life. First, the rats out front. I thought it was a cat at first.... nope ....that's a rat. Then the smell of the floors. Awful. I couldn't get out of here fast enough. The shuttle driver "cash" was a jerk to people as well. You do not want to stay here!

Positive: Great breakfast selections and they have handicapped rooms well equipped. Negative: Communication between front desk and shuttle driver should be better.

Gee, the front desk attendant provided great customer service and ensured all my accommodations were taken care of... She was extremely patient because I booked many rooms. I appreciate La Quinta. Do yourself a favor and book now. I will definitely be returning.
