La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham O'Fallon, IL - St. Louis

After a long day drive, we expected a relaxing overnight at this La Quinta. Wrong! One staff person, place seemed old and rundown. Room, smelly, dirty, furniture same, old past use date, broken, sheets stained. Bathroom, moldy, dirty, didn't even want to brush teeth, sink very slow to drain. Took shoes off to relax before going to find food, socks were stained brown in that short time. Next day, breakfast pathetic, very little to offer, what was there was already cold and unappealing. Even for free, not taking a chance getting sick before another day drive. Also, I received a request for a review from the Paducah La Quinta, great stay, nice clean place, gave a 4 star review, and got a nice response. This place, crickets, nada, zip. DO NOT STAY HERE! Positive: Nothing Negative: I called before I even went the front desk girl said if you book online it’s no deposit so I book it get there and it was 100 dollars like why lie. What if I didn’t have the deposit money. Just ignorant

I was passing through for work and this was the most uncomfortable stay I’ve ever experienced! So much so, I had to have someone stay with me so I felt safe. I didn’t spend much time there due to engagements. I should have cancelled my stay the moment I saw the elevator! This place gives “ hourly truck stop “ energy. My room smelled TERRIBLE ! The dust appreared to have been there for sometime. There was hair all over the bathroom floor. The buildup around the baseboard and shower appears to have been accumulating since the beginning of time. The towels had lint on them and obviously very well used. I used them for bath mats and rugs. The toilet was not secured to the floor. The shower floor had never been cleaned. When I returned from my event, I informed them on condition of my room. His

Location was spot on for where we needed to go. Staff were very friendly, and quick to assist with any questions or issues we did have. The pool was so warm, which was a wonderful thing for the freezing temps we had for our February stay. The room was clean, and very spacious for the price we paid, it was well worth it. We would definitely stay here again!

While the staff was courteous, the property itself could use significant improvement. There was a noticeable cigarette odor on the first floor, and other floors had a strong marijuana smell as well. The room itself appeared worn and not as clean as it should have been, with some broken furniture and visible stains on bedding and curtains. I don’t typically leave reviews (positive or negative), but I felt it was important to share this experience. Had my stay been more than one night, I would have chosen to stay elsewhere.
