Hilton Garden Inn St. Louis Shiloh/O'Fallon IL

Great location. Hotel is going through a much needed remodel. Room was adequate but could use a deep cleaning. Amanda's service at the front desk was excellent. She made check in fun. Starr's service during our Friday breakfast was excellent. She made are breakfast experience very uplifting.

The exterior appearance is pleasant. The interior is dated, with old furniture and weathered carpet. The elevator flooring is in a state of repair; bring study shoes. The bathroom is dirty with hair on the floor and the bathtub. Hot water for showers is by request; 3 days without hot water is unacceptable. Was recommended by management to shower at night versus in the morning. There are much nicer places to stay. Management would benefit from customer service training.

This property is priced like a high-end hotel but is just meh. The staff is nice and helpful; Stacey at the bar will take good care of care of you. But the rooms are run down and in need of an upgrade.

Worst experience ever at a Hilton branded hotel. Bugs (I believe carpet beetles) in both beds I have pictures. 3 in one queen bed and one in the other. They were alive. Moved to another room and no bugs there but the beds under the sheets were dirty and evidence of dead bugs. Exterior access door locks didn’t work. One would not unlock and one would not lock at all. Overall the inside of the hotel appeared dirty and dated and not maintained. We had to leave the hotel at 12:05 am because of all this, ruined our trip.

Positive: All staff I encountered were great. Breakfast ladies were fantastic. Negative: Highly recommend that this property update their carpeting. It was the most worn carpet I?ve seen in a Hilton. There are actual grooves in it from roller bags. Plus you could smell a lot of deodorizer.
