Comfort Inn & Suites OFallon - St Louis Area

My mom booked 4 rooms.. 2 being suites, 1 handicapped accessible n a double room. Ended up having to have 1 group stay elsewhere because 3 rooms in a row had bathroom issues and the reg room didnt have a door that locked. No one came to replace towels or offer anything the from Wed afternoon until Friday checkout but maybe its self service here? Not sure. Breakfast was okay. Nice seating area. Front desk staff doesnt really respond when you ask or request anything which was odd but the kids loved the pool so that was a nice distraction. Good location in proximity to relatives house and buffet

My husband and i spent a 12 hour day driving and just wanted to get into our room and sleep but the moment we stepped into that hotel immediate bad vibes. We went to the front desk and the person there was rude. He looked like he didn't want to be there. He said our room number out loud which is a big no no and he also vaped when we were still at the counter. The room was absolutely terrible and disgusting. There was a trash bag filled with I dont know what. Dirty disgusting towels on the bathroom floor and weird black specks almost looked like metal shavings or something on the bed and appon closer inspection there was blood on the wall and something that looked like a larva egg. We got charged twice once online when we booked the room and when we got there to check in. We ended up gettin

The bed had no sheets, had to ask for them. Was told by front desk we would need to come down and get them. Our microwave was broken, the door literally fell off of it. The toilet wouldn't flush and the front desk attendant handed me a plunger to fix it myself. The elevator inspection certificate was expired and it was banging and jerking so bad we stopped getting in it and used the stairs. The mattress was so squishy it almost folded in half when we got in it. The pool water was so chlorinated it was foggy and the drywall ceiling above the pool was crumbling and falling into the water. Water was dirty with hairballs floating in it. The pool towels were barely bigger than dish towels, there were only three available and they were stained with red and orange substances. Breakfast was gross.

Positive: The bed was very comfortable! Negative: The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional! The shower/tub was not draining properly and I had to shower in 4 inches of dirty water! When I brought this to the attention of staff they treated me like I was just complaining! Issue was not fixed!

Okay, first off: This is not a "nice" hotel. There is no turndown, no complimentary toast at check in, no room service. It is incredibly inexpensive, even for what it is. Basic accommodation with clean beds, quiet ac and a pretty nice TV There is everything you'd expect; minofridge, coffee maker, microwave, iron and board, plenty of towels and all the outlets work, which is a crap shoot even at hotels that cost a couple hundred a night. There is an indoor pool that is pretty well ventilated (but the color is suspect) and a surprisingly nice fitness room with weights, a bench and elliptical/treadmill/bike like most which is essential on a road trip where you sit for hours. But the reason to stop and review this basic place is the folks that work here. Everyone that we have had contact with
