La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ft. Myers-Sanibel Gateway

Thank you’ll Quinta for taking a last minute reservation! Marriott courtyard sold our room and we were told to find alternative accommodations when we tried to check in. After calling hotels for an hour, thankfully you all had a room and happily checked us in. Thank you and will keep your location in mind for future trips. Clean room, nice pool and very helpful staff. Would recommend this location

Excellent ! A couple of friends and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. We do budget get aways and are never expecting luxury. This hotel exceeded our budget expectations ! Our room was clean and the staff were very friendly. Super close to the Sanibel causeway which was very convenient. The huge pool and spa tub were very clean. Breakfast was fine, decent for a free breakfast. Eating in the large screen area is a must. The only thing, and we completely made the best of it, was low water pressure in the bathroom sink, shower was fine. Thank you for a fantastic stay !

Positive: Wonderful staff at check in. I didn't catch her name but she was adamant that we let her know if there were any issues. Beds were so comfortable we slept like the dead. Negative: ""

1st we got had no heat. They moved us to another room, heat worked. Room appeared to be updated, however very low water pressure at bath faucet. No hot water at faucet or shower. Told staff and was told that they have been running there hot water faucet at sink for 2 hours and no hot water, 4 other families complained as well. Many ceiling lights in lobby flickering constantly. Many exterior room light were flickering. 2 ice machines broken. Front elevator to 2nd floor had spongy floor, looked like fresh covering was installed over. Electrical wires installed above ground to front floodlights that were not even on at night. Huge safety violations. | Would not recommend La Quinta at Sanibel at all. | Either owner is being cheap, or property management is being cheap or just terrible mainte

I arrived really late at night on Friday 10/3 (into Saturday) and had a great interaction with the woman working. Unfortunately, the room had a very strong mildew smell. When I went back down to request another room, she assisted me with finding an alternative room. This took some time because it seems that all of the rooms with carpet have the same mildew smell. I was given a first-floor room that has laminate flooring and did not smell. Mind you, it is the middle of the night, and she gladly helped me until I found a room that I could stay in. I want her to receive kudos because most people wouldn't have taken as much time as she did to ensure that I was comfortable in the room that I was going to stay in. The room was well worth the price, yes there is some wear and tear but nothing exc
