La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fremont / Silicon Valley

Positive: The location and price was perfect. Negative: There was an unfortunate smell in the halls and room. I understand that pets are allowed for tenants, but due to the age of the hotel I would recommend pulling up the old carpets that's housing that smell. I feel that will be a simple upgrade.

This hotel is somewhat dated but fine in most respects. However, although the description listed a pool and spa these were not in fact open, and this seems to happen more and more often in recent years. I choose hotels in part because they have a hot tub available, and when they don't, and offer no compensation, it's disappointing.

Never stayed here before but decided to give it a shot. The room was cool, definitely nothing wrong with that. Shower was alright. Breakfast was horrible! No eggs or bacon or sausage, these are typical breakfast items most people are expecting. Nothing, and only one small little coffee pot for a bunch of people. Service needs to improve and so does the breakfast. This will be the last time I ever stay here, I was expecting better!

The grounds were in sad shape-the grass was dead and dirt was the prevalent landscape theme. The interior of the hotel had a musty odor. The carpets were dirty and stained throughout the hotel. Our room carpet was filthy. We were on the 3rd floor, the only ice machine (located on the 2nd floor) was not operational. The laundry and vending room was dirty and the trash cans were full. In the morning when I turned on the light located near the coffee/fridge area baby cockroaches were present. The only bright note is that the king bed was comfortable. The date of the stay was 9-17/18/25.

Very good hotel overall (7.4/10). Stayed 2 nights in August. Very nice, spacious room. Bed is very good, with good pillows. Bathroom is big. Shower is very good, and the towels are good. AC worked well. Staff were good. Breakfast was adequate, probably less on offer than I'd expect from a La Quinta (for context I'm satisfied with a bowl of cereal or some toast). Good size breakfast room. Parking ($3 per night) was good. I would definitely stay again, as for the price paid ($80 total per night for a Fri and Sat) it was very good value.
