If we could leave 0 stars, we would. We stayed in studio room 351 that is currently for sale. The pictures on their website must be from opening day, the room doesn't look like any of the pictures. DO NOT STAY HERE! We arrived to find bloody towels (fresh red blood), dirty and stained bedding, a filthy bathroom among other things. This unit needs a total refresh badly. The slider to lanai was very difficult to open/close and it did not lock. The cabinets were broken, the small area for coffee/micro/etc. was disgusting, so old and dirty. The grounds are nice, except for all of the spider webs and huge spiders, scary! It was very noisy at night, kids cruising with radio blasting. The view was ok, except for the homeless, drug dealers across the street.

I have owned a time share at Kona Islander for 34 years. They continually upgrade the timeshare rooms. You have easy access to clean towel. You can book your room 2nd or 4rd floor with ocean view. It's a studio with a bed and sofa with a bed. Perfect for a family or 2 people. Walk around the warf, or rent a car and tour the island. My maintenance fee is $780.00 per year. That's a little over $110.00 per night. My only comment no elevator. We go over during Ironman races. Volunteer where needed and sit on our lanai and enjoy the race. It's a nice property, has BBQ's, pool and spa. Nothing fancy ..but you're in Kona flip-flops and shorts.

Way over-priced. There is constant confusion regarding this place because it is an assembly of rooms and buildings and each group of rooms and buildings have different owners. My rooms was owned by a company in Las Vegas, NV and when I tried to call the "front desk" a person on another Hawaiian Island answered the phone. So, when I needed something, I would have to walk across the complex to the other side to try and speak with someone at the front desk and they would just tell me to call the phone number I had just called. Also, the place is understaffed and if there is a problem at night, you must try and someone may not be available to help you. I had a window room over-looking and ocean. Be careful for wanting a room overlooking the beach because the room is a few feet from the beach a

Arrived and our room wasn't even clean from previous guest so they put us in another room until the housekeeper could clean the next day, the temporary room they put us in the sheets were stained and clearly dirty. The next day we went to our proper room, went into the bathroom to find a cockroach on the wall and I checked the bed and the pillows had hair on them and stains on the sheets as if they weren't even washed! Parking is HORRIBLE!!! The only good thing about this inn is how close it is to the water. I will not be staying again.

Check-in was horrible and the front desk lady was rude and unhelpful. Saw a COCKROACH right outside before we even opened our door. No wifi, or at least we were not told about any. Shower is dirty and handle is broken, resulting in shower water that ranges between cold and lukewarm. Not to mention the weak drizzle that comes out. Toilet is loose from the floor so shakes when in use. Floors felt grimey and unclean. Required to bring our own trash to the dumpster and do our own cleaning. When we called to request a towel exchange, they told us it would cost $30 extra. On the pros, the unit has A/C and the location is close to bars and restaurants.
