I was not familiar with The Kentucky River Camp Grounds before we got there. I found it online due to its location to the Bourbon Trail. It was the perfect place for us to set up camp for a few nights. We met the nicest people! The Office and Campground staff were SO wonderful and everyone on site (most of them were weekenders in RVs not just campers) were really lovely. They included us like we had been coming there for years rather than just people passing through. The campsites are a little small. This is not a tent-camping campground for the most part, but they are right along the river, back up to woods, and a close to the bathrooms. Incredible spot to camp and play! The staff exuded world class customer service. I would definitely come back and look forward to in the future. It’s real close to the new mountain bike trails, which can be accessed from the campground via a 1 mile bike ride. Pretty incredible spot on the river! Highly recommend it

This place is run and cared for by so many very kind people who have contagious smiles and positivity, the maintained and monitored campgrounds are in a pretty nice and quiet location where we even had the pleasure of seeing a bald eagle flying overhead, and their warm welcome for the annual Moto Guzzi Rally has a lasting impact. As you can probably tell, I could go on for a while about this place.. 💚

I stumbled on their website. And booked a full hookup stop for Labor Day weekend 2025. What great place to stay, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They had a awesome band in the pavilion our first night, with food truck. I will definitely go back, was very clean.
