Kay's Motel

Me and the kids decided to stay overnight in Long Beach last minute after a full day at the beach. Didn't know where to go this was the first place I turned into check the price and availability, and was pleasantly surprised by a reasonable rate and a lovely room. Was incredibly satisfied with my stay and looking to plan another trip to Long Beach this month, and we'll definitely be staying at Kay's Motel. Don't be fooled by the area it is located in... the remodeled rooms are clean and very nice and the people are very welcoming. Would recommend!!!

I honestly didn't look into this place very much when I booked it for the weekend for ink and iron, and I wish I would have. It isn't horrible, but it's definitely low budget and in a kind of sketchy part of long beach (closer to Compton). The cops were parked out front one night when I was returning from long beach and that should have been my first red flag. Non smoking room had that stale cigarette smell. Lots of things had cigarette burns in them. Parking was also really bad

This place, in the middle of what one might call a precarious neighborhood, was great! The proprietor was attentive and helpful and he's an avid Gardener that grows incredible plumerias! The price was right and most of all, the beds were comfortable and clean. Not many amenities don't count on little bottles of lotion or other goodies. But for stopping over, visiting family or hitting SCals attractions this is your place on a budget.

I personally enjoyed the many nights I stayed here with my significant other. The tv's are great, the beds are comfortable, the staff is very friendly. Just wish this place was 2 stories! :] There's also a liquor store right down the street, walking distance. That's excellent. Thanks Kay's Motel!

The owners are peeping toms. Watched me and my daughter get dressed then made us check out cause my I'd wasn't on the room, we did nothing wrong and didn't get a refund. He say it no smoking room, no cigarettes leave. mind you, there wasn't no smoke in the room he saw the pack of the counter while his nasty butt was peeking in the window. He must be on drugs or something with nothing better to do then to harass the people who check in his motel, greedy for money or high idk, but I don't need service from cheesy motel owners like this. Pissed me off n a waste of money.
