I’ve stayed several times and the staff is always extremely helpful and accommodating. Just enough luxury and boutique feel. The spa is amazing! Fantastic massage. The cocktails, bar and live music are great. However I only gave it an 8 because the food overall is mediocre, like the brunch burger patty reminded me of a frozen patty. The fries are your best bet.
It’s quite a nice value because I booked through FHR. The front desk in general is very friendly and welcoming with just one or two people who have a dead face. The room is very clean, spacious and the chair is comfy for working. It had a nice pool, but it was too cold to be outside. It would have been a 5 star but the food options suck because there seems to be just one restaurant on the ground floor, Nettuno. It was a Monday and I was working, but trying to get just brunch around 10:30 AM, I had to wait for 45 mns, so I just put in the order for takeout and came down to pick later. The sky room seems to be nice for dates or fancy dinner, but I was sat down for at least 15 mns until someone came over with a glass of water. The food is expensive. In general, the room is fantastic in terms
We usually stay at the Queen Mary for our anniversary (we were married there), however, 15 years later, we decided to take a break and see what other hotels Long Beach has to offer. I booked using a specific card that shows only fine hotels and resorts, and this hotel came up as one of them. I decided to take a leap of faith as the reviews were very good and I have to say, it exceeded our expectations! We were treated so nicely and greeted everywhere we went. You really wouldn't even need to leave this hotel with its bars, restaurants, grab and go, the Sky Room, and roof top bar as well as the spa and exceptional room service. Every bit of food and every drink we had was absolutely delicious! We have zero complaints and have already discussed returning as soon as we can. The only one th
The Breakers Hotel in Long Beach is one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve visited, globally. The historic charm combines with modern facilities and exceptional service. The rooms feel brand new and comfortable. The food and beverage options are world class: from the coffee bar, jazz club and delicious Italian restaurant on the ground floor where we had lunch, through to the epic Sky Room and Halo rooftop bar. The Spa also looks enticing for our next visit. There is a star studded feel about the hotel. I can imagine modern Hollywood celebrities gliding in the footsteps of their forerunners from the gilded 1920s. Conrad Hilton himself (who used to own the hotel) would have approved of the renovation!
We finally had a chance to stay here for a little stay-cation using our FH+R credit, and it's genuinely great to see Long Beach finally welcoming a true luxury brand among all the convention hotels in the area. We arrived on NYE-eve and the hotel was understandably busy, and the front desk team looked a bit overwhelmed. André stepped in, introduced himself, and started welcoming guests who were waiting. He asked about our plans, and when we mentioned wanting dinner at Sky Room but couldn't get a reservation online, he immediately said he'd look into it. Calls and texts were made, and what really stood out to me was how discreetly and smoothly he handled everything -- he even took down my phone number while I was updating it with the check-in agent without interrupting anything.
