Best Western Plus Hotel at the Convention Center

The room was nice but not very well cleaned. We found two floss picks on the floor when we entered the room. The beds were comfortable and the balcony was nice. The breakfast was okay but the room was very small and crowded we ended up getting food and taking it back to the room to eat as there was no place to sit. The pool is not heated. The hotel is very central and walking distance to many places so that was nice.

We checked in early and received a room right away. Crystal was very outgoing and friendly. I really liked the bright bathroom lights. It was also very nice to see a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. The free breakfast was satisfactory. Typical sit up with cereal, oatmeal, yogurt (from a machine), waffles, toast, etc. It's convenient to have a free breakfast. Long beach is walkable. The Vons supermarket was just a short block away. Very easy to get to and pick up things before our cruise. Crystal gave us some advice about seeing the sights which we appreciated. Overall nice place to stay.

Positive: We liked that the coffee, cocoa, etc. were accessible 24 hours. Also they provided a secure are to put our luggage until we could check in. The morning person at the desk was awesome. She also suggested a deli down the street that had the best pastrami! Negative: The night person did not do a good job. We requested 2 more pillows. His response was that we had enough. We asked again, he said he’d let housekeeping know, but couldn’t promise anything. We didn’t get the pillows. He couldn’t be bothered to do his job.

We booked a night here last minute after flights were changed and wish we could have stayed longer! Great sized rooms, modern bathrooms, fantastic location and friendly helpful staff. The included breakfast was also a great bonus and good range of food and.hot/cold drinks to choose from (just no fresh fruit sadly). Room was well-priced, particularly compared to other Long Beach hotels at short notice. Would definitely stay here again if we returned.

This was our second stay and will continue to stay here whenever we are in the Long Beach area. The hotel was nice, comfortable, and in a great area. So close to the port if you are cruising out of Long Beach. The hotel staff was top notch. Keep up the Great work Best Western!
