Customer Reviews
The hotel is in desperate need of updating. It was expensive, without the value or experience to make it worth the money. It's called a resort, which (to any experienced traveler) implies a certain level of services; it is anything but. The front desk team was helpful in answering my questions. Rooms were clean but old (threadbare chairs). Great location, with ski lift right outside, and a shuttle bus stop within 100 feet of the hotel that dropped you down at The Village where you could shop or get something to eat, or transfer to another bus to head up to the Main Lodge or Woolly's Adventure Summit. No food in the hotel... no restaurant, no bar/lounge, no room service, the little store off the lobby was dark and never opened the entire weekend. Only a vending machine with drinks on the
Positive: Great location and helpful staff. Hotel employee at front desk was very welcoming and helpful. She recommended great restaurants and scenic locations. Thank you the sunset spot was beautiful! Negative: the body wash was completely empty and shampoo quarter full upon arrival. But staff brought extra of both upon request.
Rooms were old fashion, old tvs, old couches. The rooms had really small individual beds, no body mirror, nice view, good closet. The living room had an amazing fire place which really kept the whole house warm. The balcony was nice and it has a great view, it was nice how they had seating there too. They had a pool which was heated which was great after skiing.
Juniper Springs Resort is a good base for families on a ski vacation. You can easily access the Eagle Lodge and Chair 15, which is prime family skiing territory. It's also on the edge of Mammoth so it's quiet. There are not a lot of parties here. It's a good looking property and very clean. It is also at a lower elevation than say Mammoth Mountain Inn, so it's easier to get in and out of. The staff works very hard to accommodate everyone, so be kind. They are doing their best. Nice pool too!
We recently stayed here and had a great experience. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with great hospitality from Kevin who was working the front desk. He offered us great suggestions for dinner, as well as offered us great activities to do the following morning as we were passing through to Tahoe. The hotel itself was beautiful and had great amenities. Our room offered a great view with the balcony. The pool was heated to the perfect temperature as well. I definitely recommend staying here.
