Clean hotel. And good location. But staff was overwhelmed seemingly more focused on their side hustle as baristas at the libby coffee shop. Whatever this concept is its dumb. The room was overloaded with free standing furniture and poorly designed. I dont mind a small room in an old historic building but this is just odd and haphazard. ||Overall this didn’t meet expectations. Loved Pittsburgh.
Brutally honest review- hotel is great, Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly, location is perfect right downtown. Unfortunately I cannot give a 5 star rating because this hotel is not honest about their parking when you book. Nowhere on the booking did they indicate that the only parking option is Valet parking. I’ve never stayed a hotel where the only option to park is valet parking and price is $45 per day!!!! So insanely expensive..The cost of parking costed more than the actual room for a few nights stay. This was shocking to me
Positive: Very nicely appointed lobby and building. Negative: Furnace continually blew cold air. Notified front desk on two occasions. They stated that they would have engineering take a look, but had no notes that they did. Offered the second night to let us change rooms, but by that point we opted to just stay.
The staff is very nice and the lobby is great. However that's where the good stops. As an avid hilton brand enthusiast this location is not up to par. The rooms are the smallest I've been in outside of Japan, there is barely enough move room to move around in the room. Then forget trying to work in the room unless you are OK with working and sleeping on the bed.
Room was modern and spotless, nice dimming light next to bed is a plus. Water pressure in shower is insane, you’ll see what I mean. Lobby is really cool and location is good. Onsite bar/restaurant is good too. Would definitely stay here again over the Marriott down the road. Way less expensive and way cleaner and nicer.
