Island View Motel

Checking in Joshua and his staff were very patient with me as I did not properly read the confirmation email I received from Hotels.com. In my defense the Hotels.com email was a little confusing but Josh helped me get it figured out. The stay was amazing and the rooms were nice and clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property including the heated pool are well maintained. The view of the ocean from the 3rd floor was a real bonus. The location was great for us; right next to a quieter area of the beautiful beach, far enough from the hustle and bustle/action of the pier area but close enough that you could still walk. All in all I would recommend the Island view motel. Thank you Josh, staff and Lucy!

Good location, easy access to the beach and walking distance to pier. Room was clean and well equipped. Ideal for small families and couples. Heated pool was well maintained. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The overall place is good. We really love that the beach is just a few steps away and that we are a little further away from the center of OOB - the beach is more quiet. The rooms are ok. In the end we mostly only spend the night in the room so it suits us fine. Been there twice and would go there again!

Although Island View is a great centralized location to downtown. The room, however, was in very rough shape & outdated. We tried to stay out of it as much as possible. Furniture was broken & very worn. Floors were cracked. Bathroom fixtures were deteriorated, rusty. Paint was peeling off the walls. There were absolutely no decorations, felt like we were in someone's basement. And absolutely NO sea view as advertised, well, maybe on 3rd floor but we were on 2nd. Staff was friendly, informative. Pool was clean. It was a quiet hotel. We go to OOB a lot but not returning here.

Great location. Owners were there to check us in and provide us with directions and suggestions for local sites and dining. Clean and well maintained. Nothing fancy but everything you need from a beach hotel. Would definitely stay again.
