Inn on Destin Harbor, an Ascend Collection Hotel

The stay here was pretty good, we got told about the complimentary breakfast. Though it’s basically just cereal or microwaveable foods unfortunately. They have one ice machine on the top floor with no water fountains. You do have the option of going to the lobby to get water bottles, but it’s about 3 dollars minimum price for anything downstairs. The deck around outside kinda freaked me out. It seems like there’s some water damage to the deck and it’s bubbling up. It was a nice view and they do have swings outside to hangout on. Some of the paint definitely needs redone. The door above our ac unit was bubbling and if you opened the door below it, it smelled like mold was beginning to grow. We enjoyed our stay at this charming Inn! So appreciated the Hotel’s great price, location, easy parking and that they are dog friendly. Extra perks also are breakfast and guest laundry facility. We had a stunning view of the harbor from our out 5th floor balcony room.  Room was clean, bright and cozy, with plenty of pillows! Check-in easy with friendly accommodating staff, check-out was with Michelle who was very kind and helpful as well.

Made a reservation with connecting rooms, that was not honored. Upon check in they could see the request upon booking. When booked in person asking for adjoining rooms I was told "absolutely we can do that". There were multiple free rooms on our floor and they still didn't put us together. The front desk was not helpful at all. We have stayed here before with a great experience. As a local, we might look at other options for our next staycation. My son almost broke his back sitting in the broken chair that was left in our room. Looks fine, until you sit in it. Dry sticky spots on the desk and floor we ended up cleaning. My husband's breakfast sandwich had mold on it. Great view of the Harbour and fireworks (we stayed for new yrs).

This place deserves 0 stars . We checked in (first mistake) got to our room and decided the hotel was not how it was described on their website...dirty and very outdated so we decided to check out and knew we would be charged one night . Ok , cool. A month later and we still have not received a refund for the remaining 8 nights . We have tried getting ahold of the manger and every time we call ( which is a lot!) they are not working....odd! This place is a total scam !! DO NOT BOOK this hotel !!! You have been warned !!
