Inn At Turner Mill

We stayed here for 3 nights on our New England road trip and loved it, We recevied a warm welcome from Gregg and our room was large, with a fridge, coffee maker and microwave along with a little dining table and chairs. ||||Gregg was very knowledgable about where to go hiking and things to see and do, There is a swimming pool which wasnt open due to it still beinga little cool BUT there is a swimming hole just down the garden - we weren't brave enough to go and jump into it though!||||We really enjoyed our trip to Stowe, some fabulous places to eat and drink and the Rec Path is great for walking, running and cycling and taking in the views of this mountain town.||||The thing to be aware of was the price of a taxi from the inn to the town - we paid $11 dollars on the way down but this went

Mitzi and Greg were friendly and helpful hosts of this small older inn. The Inn is located in a large house (with two private homes on the way down the driveway, somewhat confusing in the dark ). There is an outdoor pool. The lawn and gardens are cheerful and well tended and there are flowers everywhere. There is a separate room to keep bikes/skis. A stream runs along one side of the property, and there are chairs and tables alongside. THere is a swimming hole further down the creek (but we had a spell of rain and never got the chance to see it). Greg builds timber furniture, and the room furniture - bed, chairs, table - were all his fine handiwork. I was Stowe, VT on last week. My friend's car was stuck on snow road... Our Cellular phone didn't work, and we didn't have snow tires. Then I met the owner of the Turner Mill, she brought her husband and helped us out... They were very kind and friendly people... Also, they are well around neighborhood, and their space was cute... I haven't stayed in the Tuner Mill, but I believe they would be very kind and helpful hosts. Since they didn't give me any of their contact information, I just want to thanks via this site...
