Inn At Discovery Coast

We’ve been staying at the Adrift/Inn for almost a decade and have yet to be disappointed. The rooms have always been clean and beautiful, and we’ve been able to afford a stay every year with our very modest incomes. Our favorite part of staying here is the plentiful, thoughtful vegan food. The Pickled Fish doesn’t just offer iceberg lettuce and wilted hummus plates—we’ve had great pizzas, pastas, salads, amazing veggie sides and a hummus plate to rule them all. They even offer vegan dessert and it’s always been good. Crazy. There’s no need to modify orders, ask twenty questions or annoy the chefs/servers because you’ve already been included here. The soap, shampoo, etc are also vegan and cruelty-free. So cool. We also love the Long Beach Tavern, the arcade and- oh yeah- the beach! Vegans,

I had a great time. The room felt rustic but nice. The view was amazing. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the start. The Pickled Fish restaurant had great food and drinks. The highlight was Adrift Distillers. Theo was helpful, friendly, and informative. This area is a hidden gem in southwest Washington.

After a night at one of the local historic hotels, we were looking for a little something more updated and with wide open ocean views. The inn at Discovery Coast definitely filled the bill on both points. Well not ultra-modern it was very clean with rustic tones. The hardwood floors were beautiful and actually spelled the freshwood the entire stay. The fireplace was a lovely addition. While a touch small the bathrooms were well appointed and again very modern and clean. The reason to stay is the remarkable view. We had a second story room with wide open views of the ocean which we truly enjoyed. It is also within seconds to the beach if you want to go for a walk and weather permitting. As I sit here eating breakfast, I’m reflecting on how disappointing this stay has been. This was not our first stay at this property, which makes this experience even more frustrating given our past visits. Day one started off rocky. Upon check-in, we discovered there are only eight parking spots for a nine-unit building. Thankfully, we were able to secure one. When we entered our room, the first impression was how dark and cold it felt—no lights were left on, making it feel unwelcoming, and the room was cold because the heat was not on. As we unpacked, it became clear how “well-loved” the room was: chipping paint on the walls and faucets, holes in both the sheets and the duvet, and a bed that felt broken. My spouse and I stayed in the beach house loft room over Thanksgiving and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back again! The room was spacious but felt cozy in the best way, with a great view and even better amenities around the property. I love this area and we will be back soon!
