Inlet View Tower

Location is great easy to walk to many restaurants and stores. The place itself is horrible. No hot water for over 3 weeks. Complained to management with no results. Roaches in the complex. I was in a studio room and received a bill for 160.00 for electricity after was told utilities included. Ending up moving out as I had not place to take a shower. Boild water to take a bath on a single burner is no way to live. Not to mention 1 operating elevator. I would avoid this place at all costs.

First stop in Alaska was Fairbanks. This lodge was quiet with clean rooms. There was a grab and go with bagels, muffins, yogurt and coffee. The Bear Lodge is right next to a wilderness walk that had several branches of trails of different lengths. We were lucky to se a large flock of noisy beautiful Sandhill cranes. |Easy access to the Fairbanks bus system that we took to the University of Alaska museum with amazing native Alaskan crafts, local photography and a 30 minute film about the aurora borealis.

The room is spatious, the beds are comfy, if you stay in some of the upper floors you get some awesome views. I think there was no milk to accompany the complimentary coffee bags in the room. The breakfast is mayhem, we did not have breakfast included and to just get coffees and a snack from some voucher that was included meant waiting in a pretty crazy line. But all in all, centrally located too, so walking distance to Anchorage city centre. Internet not the best TBH.

I think the upper floors probably have a marvelous view of the mountains behind or the city and bay in front. I was on the second floor and had a beautiful view of the building behind us.🤣I was put up here by Holland America / Princess while in training to drive motor coach for them. It was quite cozy and served me well. The maintenance man was top notch and very eager to make sure all our needs were met! There is no check in desk so he was kind of our welcoming committee! He was busily working making sure everyone knew how things worked and had everything they needed. He brought me coffee supplies and a fan.( two actually!) and was going up and down the halls making sure we all got settled in and accommodated. Without him it would have been a bit of a confusing process.

Just don’t. I would not recommend the Inlet View Towers to anyone. Lack of email communication when something goes wrong in the building, like no existing hot water to wash in an already cold environment. I return from a week’s vacation home to a unit with no hot water, asking random people if they have hot water. Only one working elevator the other has been broke since I been here. That is not standard for a 15 floor building. I don’t see how code enforcement doesn’t get involved. A sad excuse for a place.
