IHG Palmetto Fort Jackson Hotel

My husband and I stayed for a night while traveling East. I booked this room via text after midnight for the same day reservation. It was super convenient and easy. The room was huge and could easily sleep 4 or more. The room was a little dirty and the front staff was not the best as far as customer service but we were appreciative of the room being available. We had no issues getting on post and the breakfast the next day was awesome before we got on the road!

Stayed for 7 weeks, June to July. Air conditioner runs constantly. When room becomes freezing cold, you have to turn it off to let the room warm a bit.. Refrigerator switches between everything frozen and everything melted every day. Some of the rooms had cockroaches. Some of the rooms didn't have hot water. Some of the rooms have faulty toilets. I had to get 6 new door keys before maintenance would come look at my door, even after I requested them. You have to go to the holiday Inn for new keys. You have to go to the candlewood suites to get towels and toilet paper.

Surprisingly lovely. Nothing fancy but homey and definitely utilitarian. And most important it's right there on the base! Anyone that knows or loves a vet knows they take advantage of every minute of sleep they can!

Clean rooms and friendly staff. No problems taking us in when evacuated for hurricane Dorian. Very dog friendly. Decent breakfast bar as well.

Great hotel. Rooms were awesome. Pillows on the bed where awesome. Huge flat-screen TV. Breakfast was awesome. Great location. Great price. Absolutely blew me away.
