Nice hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Large room. Lots of areas to sit in the first floor and see the river and surrounding area. Breakfast a little better than the basic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is an extra $30 a day. Location is by the river , which offers nice views.

Great location with beautiful river views and plenty of food options nearby. We felt safe walking everywhere. Unfortunately, check-in was frustrating. I had completed it in the app, but the front desk wouldn’t finalize it because the reservation was in my husband’s name, even though he was right outside parking and came in immediately after. I’ve stayed at many Hyatts and have never had this issue before. The room layout was nice, but cleanliness and details were disappointing: sticky kitchen floors, a dusty vent, glasses with condensation still on them, only one roll of toilet paper (we had to request more), no laundry bag in the closet, watered-down shower gel, and the room smelled like marijuana. On a positive note, the breakfast area was clean and offered a decent selection.

This place really exceeded expectations, and I loved the location. I was passing through on a road-trip/visiting friends with my wife. Was also traveling with our dog. $75 pet fee as expected, which is a little above the median, but understandable. The location is great for dogs, with a dog partk across the street, and the path on the river for longer on-lease walks. Oh, and the Barcade across the street is pet-friendly as well.||||The South Side Works is back and bustling! And Hyatt House has a prime location. The facility was really great - great room with a wonderful view of the river and Cathedral. Nice TV swivel mount so that you can relax and watch TV from the couch or bed. Nice kitchenette. Coffee in the lobby. Welcoming staff. This will be on my short list of places to consider for

Not recommended for GAP bike riders. The hotel is in a good location right on the GAP and near many good restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious, clean, and have well-appointed, functional kitchenettes suitable for an extended stay. When I arrived, I was stopped in the lobby by the gentleman at the front desk and told that we could not bring our bikes inside the hotel and store them in our room (an unwritten policy that could not be referenced). Our only option was the bike storage room (see below photos), which is a dumping ground for all matter of things and completely unsatisfactory and unsecure (no cameras and no alarm on the door that goes directly out the back of the hotel).
