Hyatt House Hartford North/Windsor

I spent a long weekend at the Hyatt House Hartford North/Windsor with my kids during their winter break, and we had a great experience. It was perfect way to start the New Year! My boys were excited about the pool, and we had so much fun. We stayed in a one-bedroom king suite. The room was very clean, which was a big plus- especially for someone with a slight case of OCD🙂 Breakfast each morning was very good, they had a good mix of hot and continental options. All of the staff were kind and friendly, and it was clear from their interactions that they worked well as a team.

We recently stayed at this hotel with our young children and were very disappointed with our experience. When we entered our room, there was a strong smell of marijuana. Even more concerning, the hallway leading to our room smelled the same way. Traveling with little kids, this was extremely uncomfortable and completely unacceptable. A hotel that accommodates families should ensure both guest rooms and common areas are clean, fresh, and appropriate for children. The odor was noticeable immediately and did not dissipate. In addition, I was charged a guest fee for one of my children. Every time I received a confirmation email about my reservation, I had to call to add my child because the system did not properly reflect them on the booking. I had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt House for two weeks during a work trip. The rooms were ideal for extended stays, and my experience was excellent. Jasmine, Troy, and Colby all went above and beyond to ensure my stay went smoothly and felt like home. They exceeded my expectations, and the overall atmosphere was perfect. I stayed at Hyatt House for a 2-night birthday staycation and had the best experience. I booked a suite with a balcony and was impressed by how spacious and quiet it was. The entire suite was huge and perfect for relaxing. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, and the hotel had such a peaceful atmosphere. I was even able to have a private chef cook my birthday dinner in the full kitchen, which made the stay extra special. The views from the balcony and bedroom window were amazing. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and seating. Everything I needed was right there. I’ll definitely be back.
