Hyannis Plaza Hotel

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was beyond unacceptable. As soon as I walked into the hallway, I was hit with a strong smell of smoke mixed with mold. It was overwhelming and immediately made me question the cleanliness of the property. When I entered the room, it was clear it had not been properly cleaned. There were visible stains on the bed, including what appeared to be blood on the sheets and bodily fluids on the headboard. That alone was disturbing and completely unacceptable. On top of that, there were signs of bed bugs, which made the situation even worse. The door looked like someone had previously tried to break in, which made me feel extremely unsafe. Between the condition of the room, the lack of cleanliness, and the overall smell, this was one of the worst hotel

Relatively large room. Slept well. Seemed like an older property which has been cobbled together into a large 2-story U-shaped hotel complex. Bummed that there were no elevators. The night we arrived, there were some strange people wandering around the parking lot; not sure if they were other guests or what, but none of them approached or bothered us. Two surprises on arrival: an $8.50 "resort fee" I had to pay onsite and hadn't expected (but I went back and found it was in the fine print and the total was still what I expected), and a busful of senior citizens that kind of temporarily took over the entrance of the building. Positive: location Negative: Facility was old. Room needed repairs {bathroom door crocket, show head was broken so poor shower quality, hot tub had hairs in it...)

I almost never leave reviews. I travel often and usually just move on. But this was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn people. I checked into my room, walked inside, and within 30 minutes I left. The condition of the room was unacceptable. Peeling paint everywhere, rusted hinges, damaged door frames, cracked and poorly patched walls, moisture damage along the baseboards, and a makeshift door latch that didn’t feel secure at all. It felt neglected and poorly maintained. This was nothing like what you would expect when booking a stay. I immediately tried to speak with a manager about a refund since I did not stay the night. The manager was “never available.” No follow-up. No returned calls. No resolution. I was never refunded. I’ve attached photos so you can judge for yourself. T

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a long weekend & we thought this was a great price for a nice stay! Not the more fancy place but the location was amazing (right near downtown shops & bars). The staff was friendly & didn’t bother us which we liked. The room was fairly clean & big, plus the tub was great! I would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway!
