Hunter Lodge Bluebird by Lark

The Hunter Lodge exceeded expectations. The staff were courteous and helpful, and the room (with two queen beds) was spacious and comfortable. The beds were soft and the pillows super fluffy, which I love! we especially appreciated the heat lamp in the bathroom to keep you toasty or dry wet clothes. The decor in the room and throughout the lodge can be described as elevated ski lodge - deep hunter greens, black wainscoting and plaid carpeting - with warm wood accents throughout. It was the perfect combination of lived in and contemporary. Included continental breakfast and all day hot chocolate/tea/coffee made it really comfortable for a family of 4. Lastly, it’s a a 3-minute drive to Hunter Mountain. We’ll definitely be back!!

We had such a great stay at Hunter Lodge, a Bluebird by Lark! We stayed in the two-floor king room and it was absolutely adorable—so cozy, stylish, and perfect for a mountain getaway. As soon as we arrived, we ate at the restaurant inside and it was absolutely delicious. The location couldn’t have been better—super close to Hunter Mountain and right next to Hunter Mountain Brewery, which made everything so convenient. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the mountain!

Definitely a place to come back to! The accommodations are very comfortable. It looks to be a modernized/updated motel but the rooms are spacious (bathrooms are smaller but updated) and the common space is also very nice and large. They offer free continental breakfast in the morning and fresh popcorn snack in the afternoon. We were traveling with a few kids but there was plenty of space to spread out everywhere. The lodge also offered a free kids movie night which was a fun touch. There is also a “game” room w 3 video games to play. The “Tavern” is nice and offers good bar food and very convenient. The staff was super friendly and very helpful! Location is great! Everything is super accessible. We will definitely return again!

location and staff services are great. Friendly warm place , pet friendly . Rooms have been updated since the old Hunter Inn days. Only complaint is the room lighting. The interior decor is dark in color and the lighting is low and harsh. picture Edison light bulbs !! other than that, definitely good place to stay .

I must say.. I work in hotel operations & frequent them often… this shower was phenomenal — maybe the best yet! The back second floor patio was a hidden gem, loved the coffee available 24/7 & the cozy warmth of morning breakfast in the tavern served complimentary with the fire roaring.. like a dream. The bed, I was the most snug I’ve been in years! As much as I wish dinner & the bar at Hunters Tavern was open 7 days a week, I understand that Thursday - Sunday makes the most sense for buisness purposes. My dog loved the patio just wanted to smell the mountains goodness rolling in! I would recommend this location time & time again. For what a steal!
