Hotel The Villa

On arrival I asked if I could check in early. I was informed the room was ready but that I would need to pay an $80 fee, in "cash". No receipt possible, despite multiple requests. So a third-world type bribe. I would never go back to this hotel - they don't even have a website, and you will never see a manager.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel The Villa in New York City, and a big part of that was thanks to Ashraf at the front desk. During his morning shift, he provided truly excellent service—warm, professional, and incredibly attentive. From check-in to answering questions and making sure everything was just right, Ashraf went above and beyond and made me feel genuinely welcome. It’s rare to come across service that feels both efficient and personal, but he nailed it. He’s a real asset to the hotel, and I’d absolutely stay here again because of the experience he created. Highly recommended!

Honestly loved my stay here room was a bit small but other than that it was extremely clean and comfortable. Tv had multiple streaming services on it which was nice. Bathroom was very nice and clean. Service was excellent even asked if they could bring up an extra blanket and pillows they not only brought an extra blanket and pillows but extra shampoo and toilet paper too which was so nice of them. I loved my stay here would definitely be back. Hotel was also very reasonably priced

The hotel location is not great, but also not far to navigate to the nearest subway.However, i would comment on the service, they charged $20 for the luggage storage which I found it's not really friendly to the customer, given the fact that I have stayed with them for 4 nights and the hotel price is not cheap.

The reviews for this place seem very dramatically good or bad —it’s okay. It’s a good cheap stay. The rooms are the minimum for what you’d need in a hotel room. The beds had 2 pillows and very thin sheet, the mattresses were plastic wrapped which was pretty loud when sleeping in. The washroom was great though, very clean and functional. The location has an edge to it, which can feel unsafe, but it’s very close to the metro which is very convenient. The service is the best part; check in and out were seamless and we got more blankets quickly upon request.
