Hotel Keen

Was very impressed with the room for a solo traveler for the price I paid. Check in took less than 3 minutes. Room was small but very new and clean. Everything I needed was there, the layout was efficient. Might be a little small for 2 people, but for a solo traveler who needed an extremely convenient location where I could walk to everything I needed, and where everything was fresh and clean, with nice amenities, I was surprised by the value for the money. Will definitely stay here again on future visits to this neighborhood.

Great location right near downtown Palo Alto shops, restaurants, coffee shops and even CVS and Whole Foods is an 8-10 minute walk. The morning and evening staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, tv was nice. Only thing to be aware of, there is no microwave or mini-fridge, so depending on amenities needed something to consider. There is in room coffee. Parking can be a bit challenging but that comes with most hotels that are right in downtown areas.

Customer service here was terrible: there was an issue with the AC unit in my room, I asked 6 times over the course of 3 days for them to look at it, and they kept saying it was "working fine" without seeming to notice that my room was perpetually warm and stuffy. Eventually I found the manual for the unit online and fixed it myself (it had been configured so the temperature could not be adjusted). Hotel is clean and in a great location downtown. The rooms are ok (the entrance to my room was through the bathroom for some reason). But if you have any problems though it seems like the front desk / maintenance will not help.

I spent three nights in Hotel Keen. It is a functional and well managed small hotel with an excellent location. My room was clean and all that I needed. Small breakfast plus coffee and tea freely available a nice bonus! I also appreciated very helpful and polite receptionists, Ray and Akash. I will be definitely back!

There is an aggressive and violent receptionist working at this hotel who bullies and threatens women!!! Law enforcement should get involved!!! Do NOT STAY HERE if you are a woman!!! I have experience an absolute horror here. I had to run for my life. Being treated by 6.4 man and I am a 5ft girl is seriously traumatising experience. Hotel management should take this seriously and escalate this. ||||Stay safe ladies.
