Hotel Becket, BW Signature Collection

A PERFECT value find in South Lake Tahoe. One thing you have to keep in mind is that 1) This is a Best Western property that is independently owned and NOT a "Big Brand" hotel or Casino and is NOT a 'brand new' property 2) Parking is $10 dollars a night and better than $200 dollars in parking tickets or even worse... a towed car 3) We experienced nothing but a hard working and lovely local staff. That being said... we had a lovely stay in a clean room that has been renovated and had a few quirks. The internet is AT&T Fiber (BLAZING fast), every TV has Google Cast capability, and they even have free hot chocolate 24/7. The beds and sheets are that you'd expect from a Best Western and not Westin or Ritz Carlton. I'll leave it at that... and we had a great night sleep. Try and get a second

The check-in process was easy. All the staff that we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The lady at the breakfast was very attentive to each group and checked the food regularly to make sure it was stocked and all the areas were very clean. Breakfast food was very good. The one recommendation for the room was that the lighting in the room was very dim and made it hard to see. We were in room 150 and at night we had difficulty seeing stuff in the room, especially in the closet, without additional lighting we brought with us.

Positive: Bed was comfortable. Real eggs and bacon at breakfast. Negative: Carpet was dirty. Shower tiny. Charged for parking and we had to park out back on dirt lot. This is a 2 star hotel, not 3.

4 people 2 queens typical quirky renovated roadside momo. No spa, gym passes available nearby. Appleboos next door awful unless your just out of options and need drinks. Shower is a joke, sliding barn door is loud at night like a train coming off the rails and is undersized leaving big gaps for gazing? I can abide all of this save for a simple update. There is no schite fan yes a window is present, and that's code. But consider in winter cold air sinks 2-4 guests ×dog= sleeping in a septic tank. Location saves this place as well as pet friendly. Parking is fugged if you leave your space for anything. The motel has its ups and just as many downs. Many guests in luxurious cars puttig up with tiny crimes makes no sense, but it does work and it's not terrible. My advice change linens immediate

Just stayed at Hotel Becket for 3 nights and we liked our stay. The location can’t be beat, the continental breakfast was really good and had a lot of options. The kids loved the waffles. The staff are very helpful and accommodating! Front desk helped when we needed to extend our stay due to a storm and someone even helped us dig our car out after the storm. I just wish the room was a little cleaner. The bathroom floor was dirty and the chair in the room looked like it has never been vacuumed or cleaned. Overall would definitely stay again.
